Let me tell you a little about what you can expect and what I hope to accomplish with this blog.
My main purpose of this blog is to use it as a journal to keep track of how my batches of beer are coming along. I'm going to write down most every detail as to how each brew went, both the good and bad. I can than use this as a tool to help my future batches turn out better as I apply my craft. You will probably not see many recipes on here. I will give you a general description of what I'm brewing but should any of them turn out spectacularly, I wouldn't want to just give it away, now would I?
My goal is to make at least one batch a month, hopefully more. The first six batches will be kits and recipes from the Woodland Hills Home Beer, Wine and Cheesemaking Shop. After about six batches I should have the proper techniques down to where I will then start experimenting on my own.
I should also let it be known that I joined the Maltose Falcons, a brew club in Woodland Hills. I hope to use their knowledge to help me perfect my craft. I plan on attending as many of their meetings as possible to help me further myself.
I hope to keep my ramblings entertaining for you as you read this and informative should you choose to endeavor into making your own beer.
Brew to you,
James
